I ordered the pork leg rice, and the pork was extremely dry and tough. I also got the Tom Yum soup, and the basa fish tasted like it had just been thawed and thrown straight into the soup with absolutely no seasoning. The curry wasn’t any better. The beef tasted like it had simply been sliced, boiled in water, and then tossed into the curry sauce without any seasoning or flavor. The shrimp cakes were even more ridiculous — I could barely taste or find any shrimp in them at all. The grilled pork neck somehow had a burnt, bitter taste as well. Ironically, the only dish that was actually decent was the morning glory. It’s honestly kind of unbelievable. I’ve never had Thai food this bad before.

2.8/10 Probably the worst Thai food I have ever eaten my life. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Thai food. This street is full of amazing thai food. I will make my explaining short. Things that suck: 1. Line is long. Have to wait in person. They don’t have a yelp system for phone number. Extremely hard to park. 2. Service is bad. They are probably understaffed. And feedbacks are not welcome. 3. The food is just bad. - The shrimp cake is not purely shrimp, it also has weirdly oil stink. (It took them 30 mins for us for this dish. - the egg with turnip is weirdly sweet. It’s supposed to be savory and eggy. But it’s really sweet. (Some ppl might like it idk - the Boat Noodle is the worst of the worst. The noodle tastes sour and the beef is under seasoned. We tried to ask why, they told us we probably have bad taste bud. lol. This is just sad. The worst thing you can do is accusing customers….. don’t get me wrong, I’m ASIAN, I freakin love boat noodle. There’s a Michelin boat noodle just nearby. Just go there lol, if you know you know. - the vegetable morning glory, the name is bad ngl. The stem is old and it’s chewy not crunch. Underseasoned too. Worst experience ever. I’ve been here several times before, but today was terrible. We ordered the morning glory and were only given a half portion full of old stems that were basically inedible. The boat noodles also tasted extremely sour, like the food had gone bad. When we politely brought it up, the server rolled her eyes and insisted it “tastes normal” with a very rude attitude. On top of that, our party of 5 was automatically charged an 18% tip. Bad service, bad attitude, and honestly some of the worst food I’ve had in a long time.

There’s always a long wait. Try to go before 5pm for no wait and free parking; valet is imposed after 5pm. It’s my favorite Thai restaurant in LA! Highly recommend the shrimp cake, Thai-style BBQ pork, fried egg with salty turnip, spicy clams, and sautéed morning glory. Their signature Tom Yum shrimp is popular, but way too salty for my taste.

Favorite place for Thai in the east LA area. Papaya salad is the best one ive had, usually get the boat noodle with pork. Usually a wait so try to give yourself a buffer to put your name down. They have valet in the center for around $5 they take card too
